About Us

The Duke and Duchess of Windsor Historical Society is an exclusive Society of individuals frrom around the world interested in Wallis and Edward ("WE") who are dedicated to recording the historical importance of the lives of the Duke & Duchess of Windsor.

Our organization became a California non-profit corporation in 2009 and we will be filing our application for 501(c)3 tax exempt status in 2010.

Membership in this group allows you to participate by sharing your own WE interest and collection with other like-minded individuals throughout the world. This organization is founded upon member participation and interest, which is collectively focused in a quarterly journal. You can receive this journal either via a printed version or an electronic version pdf file that you may download and print from your own computer.

The Society was founded twenty years ago. Throughout the years its members have visited and reported on tours of exclusive WE-sites, such as Frogmore, The Mill, among others. Join us for future exciting visits to Windsor haunts around the world or read about their many contributions to fashion, food, entertainment and design. Perhaps you’ll be the one who is reporting!

Our membership is made up of Windsor-philes from the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, France, Italy, Germany, Australia, South Africa, and Russia. We have members in their early twenties to octogenarians, which proves that the enigmatic story of the life of the Duke & Duchess of Windsor trandscends generations and ages.

The 1998 Sotheby’s auction of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s personal effects was a testimony to the attraction that Wallis and Edward still hold. Many of the Society members acquired items from the sale.

The journal is published by Mark Gaulding/JMVintage which specializes in books, magazines, and treasures related to the Duke & Duchess of Windsor...and other curious subjects. Visit www.jmvintage.com for more information.
